Time, Passing

I've always been a nostalgic person, very used to the fear of forgetting. Not knowing whether I'll remember a special moment that is happening in the present time and cherishing the present as it one day will become the past.

In this body of work, I explore memory by capturing life through a slow shutter speed allowing for more light, more memory, and more evidence of the fading present.

At age 17, I created a life motto, "Live life through a slow shutter." To take in every little thing, detail, or beam of light that life has to offer, one day at a time. In these images, I capture people, places, and things will only exist in memory.
